May. 9th, 2006 08:46 pmWhy do tourists think that it is ok to take pictures right through the french doors of my flat? It really, really annoys me! If they must take photos of the buildings in my street they should confine it to the buildings that are not private residences, it's not as though there aren't enough of them! Grrr.
Dad arrived back from China on Saturday, he had a wonderful time and the holiday has left him relaxed, which is not a state I am accustomed to seeing him in! It sounds like my brother and his girlfriend have a wonderful lifestyle over there and Dad is brimming with stories about it. They didn't make it out of Beijing because there simply wasn't enough time but they went to Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace and toured the Houtongs etc.
I am now the proud owner of an MP4 player that I have no idea how to use! Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. It looks like a nifty little device, my first project is to try and get GoF onto it. I've found what looks to be a good piece of conversion/decoding software but I'm going to wait a bit before I buy it, try and find some one else who has an MP4 player and get some advice.
I keep trying to find the inspiration to sit down and churn out another chapter of one of my WIPs but it's just not there. I really wish I'd ended 'Loving Nymphadora' about 2 chapters ago, it would have been a half-decent 6 chapter post HPB reunion fic then! As it is, I've committed myself to forging on into book 7 with no end in sight.
