godricgal: (Curtis)

I've had a thoroughly unproductive day. I slept most of it, thanks to one of my 24-induced sleepless nights. I've decided that Curtis (Roger R Cross) is one of the sexiest men on the planet. (I think they should fire that chap who's playing Kingsley and hire Roger instead) In addition to looking pretty, Curtis is also a really nice bloke - I have a new character crush. Oh dear.

There is a dude at the nearest 'football pub' who has one of those blasted horn things. He's been honking it on and off for an hour now and my patience is wearing thin. A swift Silencio is what is required.

My parents both have a thing about recycling, and are prone to long rants when ever the subject is mentioned - particularly Dad. But I've had the rant from both of them within a week. The troubling thing is, I think I'm beginning to develop one myself, for when I went onto the BBC website earlier this evening and saw that a parliamentary committee has recommended that households are charged for disposing of anything rubbish that cannot be recycled - I immediately went into an internal rant about how wrong that is. I won't bore you all with the details, but why should we pay for the disposal of non-recyclable material just because the manufacturing companies insist on wrapping everything in a dozen different plastic layers and then throw in a layer of cardboard for good measure? And anyway, if they stealth tax us for one more thing, what exactly will my income tax pennies be used for? Oh, that's right, they'll all be spent in the name of peace.

Keep forgetting it's a Bank Holiday tomorrow. But I keep thinking that it's Saturday so that's alright. I think perhaps, that I ought to leave my flat for more than 10 minutes tomorrow - take in a little pollution and go for a wonder in the park. Won't be able to see much since I still don't have my glasses but hopefully I won't run into anyone I know and embarrass myself by not recognising them until they're standing right in front of me.

Off to do a little shopping and maybe stick that horn thing in a place that the gent in question will find rather uncomfortable, as I go by.

Oh, and one more thing - the new installation of Microsoft Office means that I'm back to swiggly red lines under Nymphadora Tonks, most annoying - [personal profile] mrstater, we should send off that letter to Mr. Gates.

Hope you all have had good weekends.
