Writing meme ruthlessly stolen from [livejournal.com profile] mrstater.

01. Do I have a distinct style of writing?
02. If so, what exactly is it that defines my style?
03. Would you say my stories follow a certain theme?
04. Is there anything you feel I ought to improve or change?
05. Does my style (if I have one) remind you of anyone else?
06. Judging from whatever writing of mine that you've seen, what do you think is/are my strength(s)?
07. What do you think are my weaknesses?

01. Do I have a distinct style of writing?
You do, indeed! And a lovely one.

02. If so, what exactly is it that defines my style?
I know I've told you before you have a very quiet, gentle, and fluidly poetic style...But I think a better way to sum it up is that I always have this very clear image of your Remus and Tonks very amused by each other, with the adorable expression of people who can just barely contain their joy, and are so, so pleased to be together. That's in your style: a lot of emotion very close to the surface, but they don't have to make a big deal about it. So it crackles in a very understated way I adore. To me it reads as very British. ;)

03. Would you say my stories follow a certain theme?
I do think you can't get enough, or haven't quite explored to your satisfaction, putting the relationship back together. That's not really a theme, though. I'd say the idea of them being equals always comes through quite clearly in your stories, as well.

04. Is there anything you feel I ought to improve or change?
Just keep doing what you're doing, because the only way to improve is to write, and your writing over the past year really reflects that. I'd also say don't shy away from your plot bunnies, because you can get them down on paper...Or word processor...

05. Does my style (if I have one) remind you of anyone else?
I'm probably not well-read enough to answer that question! I don't think you copy JKR and I think I'd know the difference, but I do think you mesh your style well with that world.

06. Judging from whatever writing of mine that you've seen, what do you think is/are my strength(s)?
You have a knack for finding the core of an emotion and drawing some really clever metaphors from it and then weave them fluidly into your narrative. And I think you write really lovely R/T interaction; it's some of the tenderest, sweetest, warm fuzzy inducing, even when it's angsty, that I've read, and I always sigh afterward.

07. What do you think are my weaknesses?
I'm gonna pull that author/beta confidentiality clause. ;)
